Hi! My name is Katie Rose.
I am an entrepreneur and homeschooling mother of three children ages 13, 11, and 8.
When we first started homeschooling, I was overwhelmed by the many homeschool curriculum choices out there.
I have spent countless hours researching homeschool curriculum choices and other homeschooling resources.
I started this blog so I can share my research with other homeschooling families to help simplify the homeschool planning process.
Our family believes that children learn organically from the world around them. We have traveled to over 10 countries with our children, and don’t plan to stop there! We often plan our trips to coincide with what we are learning in our homeschool.
The schedule freedom that homeschooling gives families is the biggest gift of all. You can travel whenever it is convenient for you AND skip the crowds!
My Mission is to share what has worked for our family so that more families can homeschool their children with ease.
Homeschooling can be very overwhelming at first, so I am building a useful website to help you navigate the homeschooling world more effortlessly!
After a 15-year career as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, I decided to stay home with my children and homeschool them. They were 9, 7, and 4 years old at that time.
Due to my scientific background, the resources I recommend will be secular in nature. I mean no disrespect by this, but I feel that it is important to be transparent and upfront about this topic.
Even though we are a secular homeschooling family, we have often used Christian curriculums or unit studies and just skip over whatever doesn’t apply to us. So my recommendations will occasionally include things that have Christian undertones. I will not however, recommend any resource that avoids the subject of evolution or is erroneous about the age of the earth. I will ALWAYS include diverse and inclusive resources.
